Codeshop Studio

Your website, managed by AI: faster, and you edit it by chatting with Cody

Codeshop Studio is a done-for-you service: I rebuild your current site on very fast technology, host it and maintain it, and you edit it yourself by writing to Cody, the built-in AI. No software to learn, nothing to break, and the site is yours.

Codeshop Studio

Changing a price, adding a photo or a promo shouldn't take a developer, or an evening in a confusing dashboard. And a slow site sends visitors away before they even read your offer.

With Codeshop Studio, I start from your current site: your copy, your images, your structure. No rebuild from scratch. I rebuild it in Next.js, a modern technology that makes it very fast and easy for Google to rank.

Then you edit it by talking to AI: “add our holiday hours”, “swap the team photo”. You see the result before publishing, and the history keeps every version: nothing goes live without your OK.

The result: a fast site that stays up to date without effort, with hosting, security and updates taken care of. You run your business; your site keeps up.

// How it works

Your site, managed by talking to it

Nothing to prepare, nothing to learn. Give us your site's address; we take care of the rest.

  1. 01

We take over your current site

We pull your copy, your images and your pages, then rebuild your site with Studio. Nothing to do on your end.

  2. 02

You see it before anyone else

Your new site waits for you at a private address. You review it, we adjust. Your old page addresses lead to the new ones, so Google doesn't lose track of you.

  3. 03

    You talk to Cody

Hours, a photo, a promo: you tell Cody, and it changes the text and the components. For anything else (logo, colours, a new page), we talk it over and handle it.

  4. 04

    You can always go back

Every change is kept in the history. Miss a version? Go back to it, without losing anything.

// The Cody editor

You write what you want changed. Cody handles it.

Cody opens right on your site, in edit mode. You talk to it like a coworker; it prepares the change and waits for your “yes” before publishing.

An illustrated demo of the editor, not a screenshot: this is how the real conversation goes.

  • Text, hours, contact details, photos, testimonials, news: Cody takes care of it.
  • It also adds components: video, photo carousel, map, packages, promo.
  • Nothing goes live without your OK.
  • Every version is kept: go back whenever you want.

// Features

What your site does for you

A business site that works: it brings in customers, sorts their requests and sends them to the right person.

  • Images when you need them

No photo for your new promo? Cody creates one with AI, crops an image from your library or uses the one you send it in the chat.

  • All your requests in one place

Every request your site receives lands in a simple Messages tab. A filter keeps spam away before it reaches you.

  • Each request to the right person

Forms are designed for your industry. Depending on the type of request, the right person on your team is notified, by email or text message.

  • More Google reviews

Your real Google reviews and rating appear on your site, word for word. A “Leave us a review” link greets your customers at the right moment. Real customers only, following Google's rules.

  • Components added all the time

Nearly 30 types of sections: hours, map, packages, before-and-after, testimonials, team, video… The library keeps growing, and your site benefits.

  • Cookie-free stats

You know how many people visit your site, without a cookie banner for it and without storing their IP address.

// Pricing

A clear price, spread over a year

No big cheque up front: you pay monthly, and after a year, your site is yours.

Codeshop Studio

Between $1,500 and $2,000

Spread over a year and paid monthly (about $125 to $167 a month). The price depends on the size of your current site.

  • Taking over your site, reviewing it with you, and going live
  • Cody, updates and error monitoring
  • Afterwards, your site belongs to you: no data lock-in
  • Need more? Custom development is still possible.

Not sure it's for you? Let's look at your site together, no commitment.

// Comparison

Studio, WordPress, Wix… Which one is right for you?

Every platform has its strengths. Here's an honest picture, so you can choose with your eyes open.

For a worry-free business site

Codeshop Studio

For businesses that want a fast site that's always up to date, without having to manage it themselves.

  • We handle the updates

The engine, hosting, security: that's our job, not yours.

  • You can't break anything

Every change goes through a draft, and the history keeps every version.

  • Next.js speed

A fast site that Google and AI assistants understand well.

  • We handle errors

We get alerted and fix them, without you having to write to us.

  • Safer than WordPress

No third-party plugins to keep updated, no exposed admin page.

  • Your site is yours

You can leave with a full copy: no data lock-in.

Limits

  • No full online store (cart, payment): Shopify is still better for that.
  • One language per site for now.
  • Cody doesn't change the design (logo, colours, layout): you ask us and we handle it.
  • A young service: the component library keeps growing.
  • WordPress

The most widespread. A good choice if you want to control everything yourself.

    Strengths

    • Thousands of themes and plugins
    • You can do almost anything, even a store (WooCommerce)
    • Lots of developers know it

    Limits

    • Plugins and updates to keep up with constantly
    • The vast majority of published vulnerabilities come from plugins
    • Often slow without tuning, and an update can break the site
  • Wix

Easy to get started on your own.

    Strengths

    • Simple drag-and-drop editor
    • Hosting included, lots of templates
    • Store and bookings available as options

    Limits

    • Your site can't be exported: hard to leave
    • A subscription for as long as the site exists
    • Often slower, and you make the changes yourself
  • Squarespace

For a nice, simple, do-it-yourself site.

    Strengths

    • Very polished templates
    • All-in-one: hosting, domain, basic store
    • Easy to pick up

    Limits

    • Limited customization outside the templates
    • Only partial export
    • You make the changes and do the follow-up
  • Shopify

The best choice for a real online store.

    Strengths

    • Payments, inventory and shipping all built in
    • Very reliable, even with lots of orders
    • A huge app ecosystem

    Limits

    • Subscription, transaction fees and paid apps add up
    • Too much for a simple business site
    • Customizing the theme takes a developer
  • Webflow

For designers who want full control.

    Strengths

    • Lots of design freedom
    • Fast sites with clean code
    • A good content manager

    Limits

    • A real learning curve
    • Plans get expensive quickly
    • CMS content doesn't export with the code

// What's new

Studio keeps getting better

The latest additions, from Studio's history. Your site can use all of them.

  1. Cody has a face

Its avatar comes to life and blinks, on your site and in the editor.

  2. Your Google listing next to the map

Your rating, your reviews, your opening hours and the link to leave a review, all in one place.

  3. Collections, starting with properties for sale

One page per property, with a “Book a visit” button.

  4. News, testimonials and team

News items with their own page, testimonials as cards or a carousel, and a section to introduce your team.

  5. A welcome bubble and satisfaction stars

Visitors leave a request in a few questions, one at a time.

  6. Packages, promos and custom components

Packages with their prices, a promo shown only once per visitor, and components made for a single client (a “Winter tires” countdown, for example).

  7. Video, carousel and map

YouTube video, an accessible photo carousel, and a Google map that only loads on click, to keep the site fast.

  8. Logos, before-and-after and a form in the header

Your brand and partner logos, a before-and-after comparison, and a form right at the top of the page.

// Technology

Technology built by Codeshop, in Montreal

Studio is our own engine, built on Next.js. You don't need to know what that means: your site is fast, solid, and someone looks after it.

  • Very fast

Your pages are prepared in advance and served by Vercel, all over the world. They load quickly, even on a phone.

  • Ready for Google and AI

Sitemap, structured data (business, hours, FAQ), old addresses redirected: Google and assistants like ChatGPT or Claude understand your site effortlessly. An llms.txt file, made for AI, is coming soon.

  • Errors are on us

Studio monitors every site's errors and alerts us. We fix them, often before you notice.

  • Updates too

Each site runs on a tested version of the engine. We keep everything up to date; you have no plugins to watch.

  • Secure

Bot protection on every form, two-step sign-in, daily backups. No /wp-admin page to attack.

  • No downtime when publishing

The old version stays online until the new one is ready. Your visitors never see a site under construction.

// FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What if I want to leave?

Your site belongs to you. We give you a full copy (text, images, pages) and help you point your domain elsewhere. No data lock-in.

Do I keep my domain name?

Yes. Your domain stays yours, with your registrar. We connect it to your new site, check HTTPS and “www” for 48 hours, and leave your email alone.

Who hosts my site?

Vercel, a host that specializes in Next.js, with servers all over the world. We handle the account, the setup and the monitoring.

What can't Cody change?

The logo, colours, fonts, layout, adding new pages, the domain and email. For those, write to us and we'll take care of it. Cody tells you itself when that's the case.

I use WordPress plugins. What happens to them?

We look at what each one does. Most of them (forms, map, Google reviews, gallery, SEO) already have their equivalent in Studio. For the rest, we find a solution or build what's needed.

Can I sell online?

You can show your products and packages with their prices, and receive requests. There's no cart or online payment: for a real store, Shopify is still a better choice, and we can help you with it.

How long does the migration take?

The first draft of your new site is ready in a few minutes. Then we review it with you at a private address and adjust before going live: how long that takes mostly depends on your availability.

What happens after the first year?

Your site is paid for and it belongs to you. Before the year ends, we talk: you keep going with us for hosting, Cody and updates, or you leave with your site.

Can my site be in French and English?

Today, a Studio site is in one language. If you need a bilingual site, talk to us: we'll find the best solution together.

Will I lose my Google ranking?

No. Every old address redirects to its new page, the sitemap and structured data are generated, and your site gets faster, which Google likes.

// No commitment
